Chakra Yoga Workshop Series - Energy Balancing
We are familiar with our physical anatomy but most of us are unaware of our energetic anatomy. Our energetic anatomy consists of seven energy centers called chakras. We can imagine these energy centers like rivers. Some can be overflowing or some almost running dry. Each of the chakras is a various degree of open at any given time depending on what is happening in our lives. Emotional and physical health is optimal when the energetic body is in balance. In this in-depth seven week series, we will learn about each of the chakras and how they correlate to emotions and situations in our lives. We will facilitate healing, explore parts of ourselves that might be blocked and areas where we need to issue restraint. Each session will be a specific workshop focusing on one chakra.
Each two-hour master class will consist of a physical asana yoga practice, self-inquiry, meditation, pranayama breathing, mantras sound therapy, and aromatherapy to balance the chakra of the week. We will give awareness exercises for each student to practice on their own between classes. As we move through the course, students will have emotional breakthroughs, more awareness of their energy body, and tools to create balance moving forward.
